Terms and Conditions

These terms explain the rules for using YouTube to MP4 Converter, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. We have kept them short and in plain language so you know exactly where you stand.

Acceptance of These Terms

By using YouTube to MP4 Converter, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. You do not need an account to use the service, so these terms apply from the moment you open a page or paste a link.

What the Service Does

YouTube to MP4 Converter is a free online tool that lets you save a YouTube video as an MP4 file or its audio as an MP3. You paste a video link, the tool looks up the video live, and it shows the title, length and the available qualities.

Video is offered from 144p up to 1080p, with each option showing its file size before you choose it. Audio is offered as MP3 at bitrates from 64 to 320 kbps. When you pick a quality, the file opens in a new browser tab directly from YouTube's video servers. We do not host, copy or store any video or audio files, and we do not keep a record of what you download.

Personal, Non-Commercial Use

The service is meant for individuals who want to keep a copy of a video for their own use, such as watching it offline on a phone, tablet, TV or laptop. You may not use the site, or files obtained through it, for commercial purposes unless you hold the rights to do so.

Copyright and Your Responsibility

You are fully responsible for what you download and how you use it. Converting a YouTube video to MP4 does not give you any rights to that video. Only save content when at least one of the following is true:

  • You created the video or own the rights to it.
  • The video is in the public domain.
  • The video is published under a licence that allows downloading, such as certain Creative Commons licences.
  • The copyright owner has given you permission to save it.

Respecting YouTube's Terms

YouTube has its own terms of service, and you are expected to follow them when you use any YouTube content. If saving a particular video would break those terms or the law where you live, do not use our tool for it.

Things You Must Not Do

To keep the service working fairly for everyone, you agree not to misuse it. In particular, you must not:

  • Send automated or mass requests, for example with bots, scripts or scrapers.
  • Try to overload, disrupt, hack or bypass the security of the site.
  • Use the service to download content in a way that infringes copyright or breaks any law.
  • Resell, rent out or charge others for access to the service, or present it as your own product.
  • Copy the site or build a competing service using our pages or code.

No Affiliation with YouTube or Google

YouTube to MP4 Converter is an independent website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC, and we use the name only to describe what the tool works with.

Third-Party Content

Every video and audio track you can access through the tool belongs to its creator or rights holder, not to us. We do not review, approve or control that content and are not responsible for what it contains. Some videos, including private, age-restricted, members-only, removed or region-blocked ones, may not be available. Live streams that are still running cannot be saved, and if you paste a playlist link, only the single video in that link is processed.

Our Own Content and Design

The text, layout, design and code of this website belong to YouTube to MP4 Converter. You may link to our pages, but you may not copy, republish or reuse our content or design without our written permission.

No Warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep it running smoothly, but we cannot promise that it will always be online, error-free or able to process every video. YouTube can change how its videos are delivered at any time, which may affect which qualities appear or whether a video works at all. We make no guarantees about the quality, accuracy or suitability of any file for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, YouTube to MP4 Converter is not liable for any loss or damage that results from using, or being unable to use, the site. This includes lost data, device problems, missed deadlines, or any legal claims arising from content you chose to download. Because the service is free, your only remedy if you are unhappy with it is to stop using it.

Changes and Availability of the Service

We may add, change, pause or remove features at any time, including the available video resolutions or audio bitrates, without notice. We may also block access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service at risk. We may shut down the site entirely if we decide to.

Copyright Complaints

We take copyright seriously, even though we do not host any files ourselves. If you are a rights holder and believe the service is being used to infringe your work, please send us the details through our Contact page. Include the link to the content concerned, proof that you own or represent the rights, and a short description of the problem. We review every complaint and act quickly when action is needed.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when the service changes or new legal requirements apply. The latest version will always be on this page. If you keep using the site after an update, that means you accept the revised terms.

If you have any questions about these terms, please reach out to us through our Contact page.
